"Nopal Jegg" - ( to give the lady a break)

“NOPAL JEGG” is a small scale enterprise established in the year 2000 producing food products. It has been in operation for the past 7 years. Its primary focus is processing, packaging, preserving and labeling of local, indigenous ethnic food products. We also provide catering services for wedding receptions, parties, birthdays, workshops, various institutions, establishments and the general public, etc.

NOPAL JEGG supplies food products like: Meat & fish pie

• ‘Ebbeh' ( boiled cassava pieces with palm oil and fish condiments)
• ‘Chakri' and yoghourt cream etc

As we have seen over the years that, processing of food products has been very popular due to its contribution to value added foods, nutritional food value, employment creation, poverty alleviation and generally to provide food self sufficiency as enshrined in the Millennium Development Goal to achieve Vision 2020.

Some of the activities we undertake include:

• Training on nutrition within the local community
• Workshops with other women organizations in the country, NGOs, and groups involved in working with women
• Trade fairs
